Bodies of light is a return to the figure and classic concerns of portraiture. Watercolours on paper, concrete sculptures and videos, focus on real and imaginary persons.
The usage of colours, marks or different brushstrokes varies depending on the aspects of the person that catch my attention. With bodies of light I try to focus intensively in the character and look for hints and subtler ways of communicating that hopefully could be somehow depicted. Bodies of light also proposes the contrast between the weight and the lightness, the presence or evanescence of bodies portrayed.
